Iaso Counselling at The Hælan Space offers accessible and inclusive talking therapy with Insured and qualified professionals.
Our therapists come from a range of backgrounds with each individual providing their own style of therapy for their clients. Tailoring the work to the client and working to Rodgers’ core conditions and the BACP ethical framework, all of our incredible counsellors are trained to a minimum of Level 4 or equivalent with ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.
Choosing a therapist can be an overwhelming decision and you might not always meet the right counsellor for you first time. We offer a free consultation call when you enquire with us to ensure you get the most out of the therapeutic relationship.
All of our counsellors are trained to work with most mental health struggles including grief, anxiety and depression as well as additional training in working with clients with neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ and trauma.
Most therapists have a speciality and these can be found on their therapy profile.

FAQs
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a safe and confidential space where an individual or couple can talk about their lives with a professional. The counselling space holds no judgement or bias and our therapists work with you to meet your needs. It is your time, your space and your life. You know you best.
How do I choose a Therapist?
Choosing a therapist can be daunting. For people outside of the counselling world, most of what we say as therapists can be difficult to understand
‘person centred’, ‘integrative’, ‘pluralistic’. These phrases mean nothing to anyone but therapists. Find a therapist that you get on with and that you feel comfortable talking to. Therapists are just people at the end of the day and although we would love for you to come to see us, we wont be offended if you find someone else that fits your needs better.
How much are Sessions?
A 50 minute session ranges from £40-£65 per session depending on the therapist. Each therapist will have a lower cost option funded by our ‘pay it forward’ model, where those clients that can afford to pay more fund low cost counselling for others.
What if I don’t like my therapist?
Hey, no sweat. Just break up with us! If you’re comfortable talking to us about it we can even help you find someone else that may better suit your needs. This is about you and we love to see our clients do what’s best for themselves even if that means we don’t get to be a part of that journey.
