yin is coming
Something slower is coming to The Hælan Space.
Yin Yoga is a deeply restorative practice that invites you to pause, soften, and turn inward. Unlike more active styles of yoga, Yin works with stillness — poses are held for longer periods, typically three to five minutes, allowing the body to gradually release tension held deep in the connective tissues, fascia, and joints. It is quiet, unhurried, and profoundly nourishing.
But Yin is more than a physical practice. In a world that constantly asks us to move faster, produce more, and push through, Yin asks something different of us — to stay, to feel, and to be with whatever arises. For many people, that is where the real healing begins.
Our Yin Yoga sessions at The Hælan Space will be trauma-informed and fully accessible, welcoming all bodies, all abilities, and all levels of experience. Props, modifications, and alternatives will always be available, and you will never be asked to do anything that doesn’t feel right for you. Sessions will be held in a calm, carefully held space — a place to come home to yourself, even just for an hour.
Whether you’re coming to manage stress, support your nervous system, complement your therapy work, or simply find a moment of stillness in a busy life, Yin Yoga has something to offer you.
